On-Site Worksheets

The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum currently offers the following worksheets that can be completed while visiting the museum. Note: To receive these worksheets, please contact the museum staff in advance. Pencils will not be provided, but may be purchased in the Museum Store.

Field Trip Activities

The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is pleased to present the following activity booklets. These booklets are intended, but are not exclusively, to be used as a resource to prepare students and follow up with students after visiting the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, including a tour of the submarine USS Razorback (SS 394).

Educator Activity Booklet is a booklet that introduces students to what submarines are and how they work. There are four main subject areas covered: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Geography for Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

Water Exploration Booklet includes activities designed to be included with educators’ geography lesson plans. These activities can be used by educators throughout the continental United States for students Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

Arkansas PBS’ Rise and Shine Field Trip Series: Join Joseph R. Mathis for a tour of the USS Razorback. Learn what life was like for the dozens of soldiers who were crammed into these close quarters while on war missions and learn about some of the USS Razorback’s successes during World War II.
