North Little Rock Community Concert Band Performance

The North Little Rock Community Concert Band will continue its 2025 concert season with a free performance Sunday, August 17th at 3:00 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Hays Center at 401 W. Pershing Blvd in North Little Rock.  Under the baton of Music Director Rico Belotti, the all-volunteer ensemble of 100 plus musicians will present a program of music that he calls “Sounds of the British Isles,” featuring music with connections to England, Ireland, and Scotland.  For more information about the band or the concert call 501-920-2539, or visit www.nlrcommunityband.com or the band’s Facebook page.

Pershing Blvd in North Little Rock.  Under the baton of Music Director Rico Belotti, the all-volunteer ensemble of 100 plus musicians will present a program of music that he calls “Sounds of the British Isles,” featuring music with connections to England, Ireland, and Scotland.  With Maestro Belotti on the podium, the wind band will offer two pieces from Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Flourish for Wind Band” and “Seventeen Come Sunday” from his “English Folk Song Suite.”  Belotti will also conduct as the ensemble plays Percy Aldridge Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry” (Danny Boy) and “Ye Banks and Braes O’ Bonnie Doon” featuring the band’s woodwind and brass choirs and Kenneth J. Alford’s march “On the Quarter Deck.”  Associate Music Director Bill Spainhour will take the podium to conduct Alford’s “Colonel Bogey” and American composer Patrick Glenn Harper’s ode to the Scottish Highlands, “Highland Castle Echoes.”  For more information about the band or the concert call 501-920-2539, or visit www.nlrcommunityband.com or the band’s Facebook page.
