Hays Senior Center Closed

The Patrick Henry Hays Senior Center in North Little Rock will be closed on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 for the installation of new HVAC units funded by the Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) program, which is intended to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the spread of COVID-19. According to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), “Ventilation and filtration provided by heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems can reduce the airborne concentration of SARS-CoV-2 and thus the risk of transmission through the air.” The replacement of HVAC equipment will meet the goals of the CDBG-CV program by improving air quality and air circulation in the Patrick Henry Hays Senior Center.
