Volunteers (i.e. Hays Ambassadors) play a vital role in making the Hays Center a welcoming and vibrant place for our community. Whether you’re greeting guests, helping with events, or supporting programs, your time and talents help keep our center running smoothly.
Volunteering is also a great way to stay active, meeting new people, and give back to the community!
Hays Ambassador Program
Our vision: To build a thriving, connected community where ambassadors lead, serve, and support one another – creating lasting impact within the Hays Center and beyond.
The Hays Ambassador Program is a volunteer-led initiative designed to help create a warm, welcoming, and connected community within the Hays Center.
Our Ambassadors are the friendly faces you see around the center- greeting members, helping newcomers feel at home, supporting events, and building meaningful connections.
Many of our ambassadors are long-time volunteers who are passionate about giving back and making a positive impact.
How it works
Ambassadors can get involved in a variety of ways based on their interests and strengths, by joining one (or more) of the following teams:
Connection Crew: Welcomes new members, giving tours, and checking in on others
Experience Team: Helping plan and support social events and special events
Wellness Partners: Encouraging participation in health and fitness programs, lead activity classes and programs, help others stay engaged
Creative Circle: Brings creativity to life by helping with decorations, displays, promotions, and adding special touches that make the center vibrant and inviting.
Sunshine Squad: Check in on members and offer encouragement, write cards or notes, help create a positive, uplifting atmosphere
