About Us
The North Little Rock Engineering Department is responsible for design and construction oversight of the City’s public infrastructure. This includes streets, drainage, subdivisions, and anything else within city right of way. Public projects include streets, sidewalks, bridges, stormwater drainage systems, City owned facilities, Land alteration, and other improvements.
The engineering department is responsible for reviewing and approving all private development plans and construction to ensure compliance with city standards, specifications, and ordinances.
The engineering department also administers floodplain regulations and permitting for the City of North Little Rock.
Stormwater Best Management Practices Guide
The City of North Little Rock’s Engineering Department has created a document to guide the local construction community’s use of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP). This guide will prove useful to anyone who holds a municipal stormwater permit.
