Volunteer with the City of North Little Rock Animal Shelter today! Check out Volunteer photos and opportuities below! Whether you’re taing photos of pets, walking dogs, playing with cats, or cleaning kennels, we appreciate everything our volunteers do to keep our shelter animals happy and ready to find their furever home.

Photograph our Pets!

Are you into photography? Do you need practice? Do you love animals? 🐾📸

If you answered yes to any of those questions, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

We’re looking for volunteers to help photograph our adoptable animals. Great photos help pets get noticed, and getting noticed helps them find loving forever homes. ❤️

Many days, our staff is completely overwhelmed caring for the animals, cleaning kennels, assisting the public, and handling countless other responsibilities. Because of that, taking photos often gets pushed to the bottom of the list. Our kennel staff do an incredible job squeezing photography into an already impossible schedule, but we’d love to have dedicated volunteers who can help keep our adoptable pets in the spotlight.

Students are welcome to volunteer too! Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who has also completed a volunteer packet.

Once your volunteer paperwork is completed, you can get started right away! All we ask is that you email the photos to us so we can share them on our adoption pages and social media.

Volunteer photography hours: Monday–Friday | 12:30 PM–5:00 PM
