North Little Rock Public Library System Unveils Mobile Library

[NORTH LITTLE ROCK, August 1] – The North Little Rock Public Library System is thrilled to announce the official launch of its Mobile Library, the Neighborhood Library Rover, with an Open House event on August 15 at 6:30 PM. The Mobile Library will be stationed at the William F. Laman Public Library (2801 Orange Street, North Little Rock) to celebrate this momentous occasion.

The Neighborhood Library Rover is set to revolutionize access to knowledge and learning within the North Little Rock community. With a wide range of services and amenities, the Mobile Library will cater to the needs of readers of all ages. Attendees can expect to explore a diverse collection of books, technology, and more, designed to ignite the love for learning and discovery. It is a chance for the community to experience firsthand the cutting-edge features and modern amenities that the Neighborhood Library Rover will offer.

“Getting our new Neighborhood Library Rover on the road has truly been a large team effort – with support from our Library Board, NLR Mayor, and NLR City Council. We are focused on getting the final touches completed and looking forward to this open house and taking the library to our communities!” said Crystal Gates, Executive Director of the NLR Public Library System.

Generous support from the City of North Little Rock and the Nathan Hughes Hamilton Estate has made the Mobile Library a reality, reflecting their commitment to empowering and enriching the community.

About North Little Rock Public Library System    

The North Little Rock Public Library System consists of two libraries in North Little Rock: the William F. Laman Public Library located at 2801 Orange Street and the Argenta Public Library at 420 Main Street. These libraries serve the community as valuable resources, offering art galleries and diverse circulating collections that include tools, cooking equipment, telescopes, hotspots, and more. Additionally, the North Little Rock Public Library System provides a wide variety of free programs and resources for all ages, including the Studio at Laman, a space equipped with sewing machines, Cricuts, embroidery machines, and other creative tools for aspiring creators. The system proudly houses the Laman Loft, an inclusive teen space that provides a safe environment for teenagers to gather and access resources and activities tailored to their needs. A new mobile library is set to begin service to local neighborhoods in September.
