The Great Shakeout – October 15th

The Great Shakeout is October 15th, 2026 and North Little Rock Emergency Services is here to help you and your family stay prepared!

Millions of people worldwide will join earthquake safety drills at 10:15 a.m. local time. Here’s what to do in the drill, and in a real earthquake:
1. Drop down onto your hands and knees immediately before the shaking knocks you down.
2. Cover: Take cover under a sturdy desk or table to protect your head and neck from flying objects.
3. Hold On: Hold on to your shelter and be prepared to move with it until the shaking completely stops
