Hays Senior Center Closed

The Patrick Henry Hays Senior Center located at 401 Pershing Boulevard in North Little Rock will be closed next week: Wednesday, September 6 through Friday, September 8 for the installation of new HVAC units funded by the North Little Rock Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) program, which is intended to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the spread of COVID-19. According to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), “Ventilation and filtration provided by heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems can reduce the airborne concentration of SARS-CoV-2 and thus the risk of transmission through the air.” The replacement of the HVAC equipment will meet the goals of the CDBG-CV program by improving air quality and air circulation in the Patrick Henry Hays Senior Center.
