All full-time non-uniformed City of North Little Rock employees have a long term disability insurance policy paid for by the City. Long term disability insurance provides employees with long term income protection if they become disabled from a covered injury, sickness or pregnancy.
Employees may also purchase voluntary short term disability insurance from American United Life after being employed for one year. If employees sign up within 30 days of their eligibility period, insurability is guaranteed. Premiums are deducted from employees’ paychecks.
