North Little Rock, Arkansas (October 4, 2023, 2:15 pm) …The city of North Little Rock is sad to announce the passing of our beloved former Mayor Patrick Henry Hays this morning after a valiant battle with cancer. Hays was the longest serving Mayor in the history of the city from 1989-2012. His many accomplishments are known to have turned North Little Rock into a modern, progressive city. Current Mayor Terry Hartwick said “I knew Mayor Hays nearly my entire life. I have known him as a close friend and as an opponent. He was a fighter until the end. I cared deeply about him and I know he will be sorely missed by all of us in North Little Rock.” Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days. Patrick’s wife, Linda, and family ask for your prayers as they move through this process.
North Little Rock, Arkansas (October 5, 2023)…The public is invited to attend a Celebration of Life for former North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Henry Hays on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The service will be held at First Pentecostal Church at 1401 Calvary Road in North Little Rock.
