North Little Rock Moves City Services to New Location
North Little Rock, Arkansas (Monday, May 1, 2023)…. In 2022, the City of North Little Rock purchased the former Blue Cross Blue Shield building located at the corner of Pershing and Percy Machin Boulevards to consolidate all city departments for easy access and more efficient service for North Little Rock residents. As construction on the new, 92,000 square foot City Services facility nears completion, the following departments have already moved in and are conducting business: Human Resources, Engineering, Planning, Community Development, and Finance. The Utilities Accounting department is moving in this week and the City Attorney’s office will move at a later date. The Information Technology Help Desk Support Group is also in the building.
The new City Services building contains the North Little Rock Fire Training Center which is up and running, located on the Pershing side of the building. The Fire Training Center was the first to occupy the new building and has been operating all fire training in addition to conducting classes that bring in outside fire departments. Please note, the Pershing entrance (fire training) is not open for public entry. Anyone accessing the building should enter from the 700 West 29th Street entrance (big awning), which is the main entrance.
