15th Annual Shop With A Cop

DON’T WAIT — APPLY TODAY!

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) is now accepting applications for the 15th Annual Shop With A Cop program!!

Application Period: October 3rd – November 7, 2025

Deadline: Friday, November 7th at 3:00 PM

Eligibility: This program is exclusively for North Little Rock residents who meet the specific criteria outlined in the application.

Volunteers Needed!

The holiday season is here, and we’re excited to kick off Shop with a Cop 2025!!!  For those who may not know, Shop with a Cop pairs children with local law enforcement officers to shop for Christmas gifts. The program is designed to brighten the holiday season for children from families facing financial challenges, giving them the chance to experience a memorable Christmas.

How You Can Help: I am seeking volunteers who are willing to assist with wrapping gifts once the children have completed shopping. This year’s Shop with a Cop will take place at Walmart on McCain Blvd and will be from 0700 – 1000am.

]]> Thursday, January 30, 2025, members of the NLRPD Fraternal Order of Police (Lodge 5), and the Supervisors Association contract committee gathered with Mayor Terry Hartwick, Chief Patrick Thessing, and members of the NLR City Council to sign a two year Statement of Agreement. With this new contract in place, it validates the City’s commitment to public safety and a continued focus on recruiting and retention for the North Little Rock Police Department.

The men and women of the NLRPD are grateful for the long standing support the Mayor, the North Little Rock City Council and citizens of North Little Rock have shown to our officers. Partnerships and trust between these organizations and the city’s leadership help to foster the quality of service that our community expects and deserves.
