]]> From May 1st to 21st, the Burns Park Splash Pad will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. After May 25th, you can visit the Splash Pad every day from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Don’t forget about the Funland Train! It will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the top of every hour. Come cool off and have fun this summer in North Little Rock!

Registration is now open for the NLR Parks and Recreation Spring Youth Basketball League. Games will be played on Mondays and Tuesdays at Glenview Community Center beginning April 20th.
Team registration only (no individual sign-ups or travel teams allowed). Cost is $150 per team.

Girls Divisions: 2nd-3rd grades, 4th-5th grades. Boys Division: 1st-2nd grade and 3rd-4th grade.
Register onsite at Glenview Community Center, 4800 East 19th, or online at nlrpr.org. For more information, contact the NLRPR Program Unit at 501-791-8545.

]]> Dust off your capes and lace up your boots! NLR Parks and Recreation is officially issuing a “Hero Call” for the 2026 Summer Activities Camp (SAPling). Designed for youth entering 1st through 8th grades in the fall 2026. This SAPling program is more than a camp, it’s a training ground for the next generation of superstars.

With a mission to have the “Best Summer Ever”, SAPling 2026 offers three action packed sessions and a specialized Mini-Skills week to keep young heroes engaged all summer long. Camp sessions begin June 1st thru July 31st. Mini-Skills camps will be held August 3rd-7th. Camp Locations: Glenview Community Center, North Heights Community Center, Sherman Park Community Center and Rose City Community Center for 6th-8th grade youth.

Cost: $225 for all three sessions if registered by May 29, 2026. Current NLRPR membership required. $15 for NLR Residents;$20 for Non-Residents. Multi-child discounts available and must submit report card for school grade verification by May 29th.
