SUMMARY:NLR Fire Ceremony - Retirement\, Promotion\, Swearing-In
DESCRIPTION:The North Little Rock Fire Department will hold a Retirement\, Promotion and Swearing-in ceremony this Thursday\, February 29 at 1:30 pm at the Patrick Henry Hays Senior Center at 401 W Pershing Blvd in North Little Rock. The ceremony is open to the community. Retiring are Battalion Chief Al Cerrato (43 years)\, Captain Perry Tackett (36 years) and Lieutenant Mark Mahan (20 years). The ceremony will include the swearing-in of three new firefighters: Richard Herring\, Ashley Meyer and Michael Marra. Six North Little Rock firefighters will be promoted. Matthew Hunt\, Tanner Ramsey and Matt Mathchett will be promoted to Lieutenant. David Kirkendoll and Steve Lankford will be promoted to Captain. Captain Ricky Cranford will be promoted to Battalion Chief. Chief Ricky Cranford is the first black firefighter promoted to Battalion Chief in the North Little Rock Fire Department.
