Free tours of the USS Razorback submarine following the ceremony. \n\n\n\nWhy: Thursday\, December 7\, 2023\, marks 82 years since the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Arkansas is one of two locations – the other being Honolulu\, Hawaii – with ships present at both the beginning and end of World War Two. Per the US Department of Veterans Affairs\, of the millions who served\, there are 119\,550 veterans of the Second World War alive today. Around 1\,144 World War II veterans live in Arkansas.
