A skills test and/or quiz to demonstrate or verify the required level of knowledge, skills and abilities will be administered on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. in large meeting room at the North Little Rock Community Center, 2700 Willow St, NLR, AR. Please allow approximately a hour and a half (1.5) to complete the test. TESTING IS ALLOWED ONCE EVERY 6 MONTHS, PREVIOUS TEST CAN BE USED UP TO A YEAR. This is the only notice to test that you will receive. Driver‘¦s license or other photo ID is required for admittance to the test.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY: High School Diploma or equivalent (copy required with application) One year related experience as a cashier/teller. Must have no felony convictions and be capable of being bonded.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY: Serves as part-time teller or clerk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serves as teller: receives cash and checks as payment of water and electric bills, both over the counter and at the drive-in window; checks monies against bill stub for accuracy; marks account number on check; balances stubs and monies; enters payment data into computer system via terminal; assists or directs customers to other offices as needed; receives payments for returned checks and previous outstanding balances owed; balances daily receipts and forwards cash and checks to Senior Accounting Clerk. Parks Maintenance Worker- Parks Maintenance Dept. - 14046

Fleet Maintenance/Inventory Manager - 14047

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY: Directs and documents the inventory of Department property (including vehicles and non-vehicle related property); the maintenance, repair, and equipping of the Police Department vehicle fleet and related equipment; maintenance of department buildings; and supervision of community service workers

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Schedules and coordinates vehicle and related equipment maintenance and repair: determines need by direct observation, routine maintenance schedules, and service reports; drives vehicle or arranges for a tow to the City garage or participating vendor for service; inspects all repair work before placing unit back in service.

• Maintains Department property inventory: keeps records of all property over a designated value and the location where the property is kept; inventories to ensure all property is accounted for; reconciles Department records with City records.

• Maintains vehicle equipment inventory: keeps record of each vehicle, driver assigned to vehicle, and equipment assigned to vehicle; requisitions new or replacement vehicles and equipment as needed; transports vehicle to vendor for professional installation of major equipment; maintains stock of minor equipment such as clipboards, unlocking bars, fire extinguishers, and rechargeable batteries, issuing and installing as needed.

• Keeps vehicle records: keeps complete history of each vehicle, including warranties, repairs, insurance, fuel and car wash usage, etc.; provides necessary information to the Finance Department, insurance companies, and appraisers; coordinates with gasoline distributor to ensure that each vehicle and responsible employee assigned to vehicle has the correct fuel card; maintains an inventory of issued fuel cards; reviews fuel reports to ensure fuel purchases are legitimate.

• Keeps manual insurance records: receives renewal notices on vehicles; requisitions, or arranges for a requisition for premiums; notifies insurance carrier to terminate policy when a vehicle is taken out of service.

• Serves as a department liaison: contacts department contract service providers for repair or building damage, defective equipment (ac/heat, plumbing, etc.) for departmentally owned or maintained property; provides necessary information and documentation to insurance carriers concerning claims involving a police vehicle.

• Supervises assigned community service workers: assigns the community service workers general tasks such as landscaping, trash pick-up, general cleaning, and light manual labor. Maintains records of hours worked for community service workers and reports information the assigning court clerk.
