A motion was made by Dick Giddings and seconded by Dorothy Romes to excuse Eddie Powell (meeting in Washington DC), Murry Witcher (on vacation) and Dick Blankenbaker (wife to doctor). Motion was passed unanimously.

A motion was made to approve the minutes of the previous meeting by Dick Giddings and seconded by Robert Barnes.  Motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Baxter gave a brief overview of the financial information and bank accounts reporting that all financials are in good order.  A question was asked about the excess expenditure in the Municipal League insurance account.  Mr. Baxter stated that he would check with finance to see when the correction would be made.

A motion was made by Dick Giddings and seconded by Robert Barnes to accept the financial information.  The motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Baxter gave a program update stating that both swimming pools had passed State Health Department inspections.  He reported that the shades had been installed in the video excercise room.  And he reported another car theft in the parking lot.  Mr. Baxter discussed the plan the staff had to improve safety in the parking lot.

Under public comment Louise Baltimore and Deloris Bryant talked about Ms. Bryant being ejected from a Care Link Chair Volleyball tournament in Benton.  Our policy has been that any member ejected from a program our teams are participating in is also removed from that event in our program as well.  After a brief discussion it was suggested that Ms. Bryant discuss the matter with Care Link as they had taken the action under discussion.  Mr Baxter provided Ms. Bryant with the phone number for the Care Link contact, Todd Price.

A motion was made by Dick Giddings and seconded by Marleene Calvin to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
