On the Opposite Shore: The Making of North Little Rock was published in 2004 by the North Little Rock History Commission. 

Authored by the award-winning journalist and historian Cary Bradburn, the hardback book is beautifully bound, with 288 pages and 160 photographs that tell the story of North Little Rock from its earliest settlers to the modern era and visions for decades to come.
