Day Care Inspections

Business Fire Safety Surveys

Construction Plan Reviews

As part of the City of NLR’s construction permitting process, the Fire Department reviews construction plans, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and kitchen hood suppression systems for fire code compliance. Fees are required for plan review and acceptance testing.  Contact the Fire Marshal's Office for the fee schedule.

Apply for a Burn Permit

Outdoor Burning is prohibited within the city limits of North Little Rock without a burn permit. Failure to obtain a burn permit may result in a fine. Only natural vegetation excluding leaves and grass may be burned. According to state law, recreational fires are allowed without a burn permit if the fire is confined to a fire pit with a 3ft diameter and 2ft height, other restrictions also apply. Ordinance 17-83 adds permit regulations to the city's municipal code. The fees are as follows: 

Commercial Burn Permit (30-day period)    $200.00
Residential Burn Permit (3-day period)         $25.00
Bonfire Permit (8-hour period)                      $10.00
